Brake
It will be $5 and a dial-in on your final time run. This bonus one shot qualifying will be at
all 12 MD points races. ½ of the funds go to the
driver closest to the dial-in and the other ½ to the
2011 TEAM FINALS and Points Fund for the RACERS. The #1
driver will be eligible for the first available BYE until
he gets it. (If the driver loses and buys back,
the bye does not carry over, but can be earned again.)
Mooresville Dragway will once again be a part of the IHRA
Summit Super Series and the “Run Off Race” for the SSS
will be at the TEAM FINALS at Piedmont Dragway in
September. Remember, you must join IHRA, get your
"X" number, and display it on the car for all races to
be eligible for the Summit Super Series run off.
There will be
12 possible
races. YOU DROP 4 ! Claim your 8 best races! In
the event that one race is cancelled, you will still
count your best 8 finishes. In the unlikely event
that 4 races are cancelled, then your best 7 of 8
finishes will count. Likewise, if only 7 events
are contested, your best 6 will count. PLEASE keep
in mind that it is not wise to want to drop a "0" as
some may think. It is best to make as many races
as possible so you have a shot at gaining round points.
The 2011 Bracket Finals Division 1 defending champions
will compose a 2012 team in the following manner.
The top 16 finishers in Top, the top 16 finishers in
Footbrake, and the top 8 finishers in Junior Dragster
will represent Mooresville Dragway the weekend of Sept.
22 at Piedmont Dragway. Forty racers will go and
no alternates will be allowed. One back up car is
allowed.
