Chris Plott of Winston-Salem, NC added to his PBM/Erson TOP Eliminator points leads with another big win Saturday night over cousin Mikey Walters of Welcome, NC. Plott, driving his dad’s Race Tech Dragster ran a 4.66 ET at 145 MPH to stop Walters Race Tech Dragster, who red-lighted on the start by just two thousandths. Red hot Travis Varner of Stanley, NC in his Mopar powered Dragster and young gun Kevin Brannon of Boiling Springs, SC in a Dragster was semi-finalist. The two “back to back” wins by Plott now gives his a eight point lead over number two man Dan Whisnant of Caser, NC.
Reigning Champ Paul Shell Scores Second Foot Brake Win Over the Farm's Champ David Spaugh
Reigning PBM/Erson Series Foot Brake champion Paul Shell, Jr of Lexington, NC picked up his second “Dirty MO” win of season defeating 2007 Farmington Dragway track champion David Spaugh of Advance, NC. Shell, driving his 1966 Chevrolet Nova ran a 5.83 ET at 113 MPH to better the 7.81 ET at 83 MPH run of Spaugh’s Ford Mustang. The all important win by Shell has set up a fight to the end with number two points man Tim Byrd of Lexington, NC. He now leads him by one point with the final points race to go on September 22nd. Brian Holbrook of Lexington, NC scored an important semi-final finish with his Chevrolet Camaro.
Dillon Winkler Picks-up Third Drake Coatings Junior Dragster Victory; Ricky Fesperman Runner-up
Dillon Winkler of China Grove, NC scored his third Drake Coatings Junior Dragster win of the season stopping Ricky Fesperman of Salisbury, NC for the win. Winkler ran a 8.62 ET at 71 MPH down the “Dirty MO” 1/8th mile to hold off the 8.02 ET at 80 MPH charge of Fesperman.Current Drake Coatings points leader Mitchell Harkey of China Grove, NC scored a big semi-final finish. Harkey holds a slim three point lead over former Mooresville champion Corey Leazer with one race remaining.

Taz Holliday of Shady Springs, WV picked up his first “Dirty MO” win taking the Real Street class win over Tommy Brooks of Salisbury, NC. Holliday ran a 11.48 ET at 60 MPH with his Ford Ranger to stop the Chevrolet Camaro of Brooks. Tommy Luther of Mooresville, NC was the lone semi-finalist.
