Lots of FUN was had by Everyone at Mooresville's  Banquet this past Saturday Night

 

  A night of fun and celebration was had by all as “Team Dirty Mo” kicked of the new season with the Mooresville Banquet this past Saturday night. Everyone on hand got to help celebrate the man G.W. Leazer’s birthday. “Dub” was surprised with a cake, special birthday card and gifts to comemorate his fifty plus b-day.

 The champions of the Gaston Used Auto Parts Race Series were crowned along with the “Top 10” in each class was awarded cash and trophies. The “Legend” Larry Lee of Huntersville, NC, who started racing at Mooresville Dragway, went it was still dirt collect the $3,000.00 TOP prize and gold card for winning the TOP Eliminator championship. Veteran “foot braker” James Lockhart of Charlotte, NC picked up a cool $2,000.00 and a “Gold Card” for his fifth Foot Brake championship at the Dirty Mo. Second generation drag racer Mitchell Harkey of Salisbury, NC scored his second straight dragstripbrats.com Junior Dragster championship and took home a sweet $500.00 for the title. Tim Finney picked up the trophy and cash for the Ace High Performance Real Street championship.

  There were also special awards handed out. Taking the “Everyone Loves Raymond award was the quite one Lori, who works the race computer. Raymond and long time gate man Jimmy was presented “Employee of the Year” awards. Other award winners included: Racing Family Year- McClendon Family, Most Improved Driver- Jonathan Gibbs, Rookie of the Year TOP- Dan Malloy, Foot Brake- Ernie Humes III and Junior Dragster- David Noble. Special supporter awards of appreciation went to Wendell Bowie and Family, and Ricky Caldwell and Family. Special Thanks to the Eddie, Gibbs, Big Ricky, Moma Doris for the delicious food served, it was down right GOOD!  Jody Leazer and the staff of the Dirty Mo done a great job serving up the food and putting on a great time for everyone.

 A BIG THANKS to all the folks that attended the Mooresville Banquet and had a Big Dirty MO time!  Marie Varner is still dancing!!! Lol,  Turner should have taken the $10.00 instead of a cooler and to Winkler and little Ms. Edmonds for winning the season passes. You really can scoot a plastic ball across a floor with a straw!
