The “ice man” Walker in his Miller Dragster cooled off former MD Top track champion Doss in his Race Tech Dragster with a super cool “002” starting reaction. Walker took home the dirty mo sweet money running a 4.79 ET off a 4.78 at 142 MPH to the veteran Doss’ time of a 4.88 ET off a 4.87 dial at 136 MPH. Door car racers Roger Plyer of Statesville, NC in his Nova and “Slick” Rick Whaley of Reidsville, NC in his Camaro were the semi-finalist.

Former Mooresville Junior Dragster champion Corey Leazer returned to the winner’s circle Saturday night taking the Foot Brake victory over Allen Furr from Richfield, NC. Corey L., a former Coalition champion, used a better reaction in his “Simon Says” Dirty Mo Chevy Nova to beat out the Nova II of Furr. “Lightn Leazer ran a 7.74 ET off a 7.69 dial at 86 MPH to the runner-up effort of a 7.48 ET on a 7.48 dial at 90 MPH time of “A.F.” The legends of Mooresville Foot Brake made up the semi-finalist. They included reigning Foot Brake champion James Lockhart of Charlotte, NC in his OLDS 442 and the “Flyin Wedge Man” Noah Anderson of Earl , NC.
