2009 Mooresville 4 and 5 second champion Chris Warren picked up were he left off last year taking the big Winter Melt Down Free Race TOP Eliminator win over Johnny Williams. Warren in his Pitts Repair Service Dodge Daytona ran dead on his dial-in to stop the Doug McCraw owned "Cooterback" Chevrolet Monza.

2009 Farmington Foot Brake champion Ray Crane of Morganton, NC picked up the big Foot Brake win over David Spaugh of Advance, NC. Crane in his Stock Yards Steak/Country Buffet, DQ, Morgan & Son Buick clicked off a better reaction time at the start to beat out Spaugh in his Ford Mustang.

Three time Allied Bearing Junior Dragster Mitchell Harkey of China Grove, NC picked up the opening day Junior win over thirtd generation drag racer Jesse Warren of Concord, NC.
